Trying to make a comfey poultice from a tincture.

I have a sprained ankle. I found out about the comfrey poultice on line, but I can't buy the plant any where here in Charleston South Carolina, so I'm having to use a comfrey tincture. I need to know what ingredients I can use for a binder. Ya know, to hold the stuff together. Thanks
