I used to lay carpet for a living, and as an apprentice, I got fluid on my knees a few times. My old boss told me to get some "Washing Soda Crystals", and make an icepack using an old sheet or towel, then squash the crystals a little to turn the crystals into more like a powder.
Then just strap the "icepack type of dressing" to my knee.Go to sleep and this should draw most, if not all the fluid out overnight.
My knee would be white the next morning and felt like it had a concrete cast on it, but it did the job, so it's worth a shot with out the doctors using needles to get it out, and better still no recovery afterwards.
Hope it helps someone, it helped me,and I'm thankfull for that :-)
