This peppermint tooth powder recipe is an effective, easy to make homemade toothpaste that contains nothing but natural ingredients. Very inexpensive and good tasting too!
You'll need:
1/4 cup powdered kaolin clay
1 teaspoon
baking soda
1 teaspoon finely ground sea salt
4 - 5 drops
peppermint
essential oil
Instructions:
Simply combine all the ingredients very well and store in an airtight container. (preferably glass)
To use, mix the tooth powder with enough water to make a paste. Only make enough paste to use within a week or two so it doesn't spoil. If you like it sweeter you can mix a teaspoon or so of vegetable glycerin to the paste. You can even buy find toothpaste tubes at cosmetic stores or in stores that carry camping equipment. Ever read about the ingredients in commercial toothpaste? You do and I guarantee that you'll be looking for alternatives!
