No smell

Hi there. Just wanted to say that I tried this and it worked well, except it was clear and had no smell. The water left in the pot with the rose petals smelt like roses and was a nice color. I used mostly deep red rose petals. From what I gather it should have a nice rose smell?

Rose water should smell
by: HFHR

Hi Simone, Yes, your rose water should be clear but it should smell like roses also. It will not be a strong scent but you should definitely smell something. Typically the best roses to use are wild roses. You can use the hybrids (typically garden roses) as long as you're sure they have not chemicals feed to or sprayed on them. I'm not sure what happened to your process though.??
