Night Cramps and Salt
Most nights I will wake and compulsively stretch which almost immediately results in painful leg cramps. I have been taking an excellent calcium/ magnesium supplement without relief. Recently after such an incident I took some table salt. The problem has not recurred. Salt has been something of a taboo, but apparently recent research indicates it is not as bad as previously thought. Individuals will differ. As I consume large amounts of liquid, it is probable that there has been an electrolyte imbalance.
