I have been taking an iodine supplement for a couple of years now. I had a couple of years where I suffered from depression. It was pretty severe at times. With the use of this iodine supplement I seldom experience the horrible days that I did before adding this to my daily diet. I simply have a greater sense of well being. There are occasional days where the depression surfaces, but I attribute that to what I have eaten or had to drink the previous days. There are certain foods that effect the body's ability to absorb the iodine that is neccessary. An example I can share is: I take my quarter of an ounce of the iodine supplement every morning and every night. I usually wait one hour after taking it in the morning before drinking any coffee (caffiene). If I happen to drink any prior to the hour being over, I suffer for it the rest of the day. I have to say that I am very thankful that God blessed me with wisdom concerning my need for iodine.
