There are many ways honey benefits health and beauty. Honey remedies have been used for centuries! In fact honey is an ancient Hebrew word meaning "enchant". An enchanting natural remedy it is! Not only is it a wonderful sweetener but it contains many healing properties as well.
Honey is made up of fructose, glucose, beeswax, water, pollen, enzymes and proteins. It has very little pesticides or other toxins because exposed bees usually die before returning to the hive. HONEY FOR ANXIETY, drink 1 cup of orange juice with 1 teaspoon of honey and a pinch of nutmeg powder twice daily.
To heal ORAL ULCERS, apply 1 teaspoon honey and a pinch of turmeric to canker sores, mouth ulcers, or sores on the tongue as a poultice. This mixture will generate saliva and draw out toxins; spit it out to speed the healing process. For internal ulcers, mix a cup of warm milk with a teaspoon of honey twice daily.
Honey Remedy for ASTHMA OR OTHER RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS - Mix 1 teaspoon finely chopped thyme with a teaspoon of honey. Take as needed to soothe airways and lungs. This is a great decongestant also!
HONEY CURE FOR WOUNDS - Honey contains a germ killing substance called inhibine. It works great to prevent infections and promote healing. Simply spread on cuts and abrasions and cover.

HONEY HAIR TREATMENT- Take 1/2 cup of honey or more and massage into damp hair. Let sit for 20-30 minutes. It is sticky but it washes out easily. It may slightly lighten your hair but it will soft and gleam with all the nutrients it absorbed. For dark hair use molasses.
HONEY HAIR RINSE - Add 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice into 1 quart of warm water. After shampooing pour through hair and don't rinse.
HONEY MASK - Mix 2 tablespoons honey and 2 teaspoons milk or cream. Leave on face for 10 minutes or longer.
EXFOLIATE - Mix a small amount of honey with an equal part organic raw sugar. Rub gently over wet face in a circular motion then rinse.
HONEY CURE FOR HANDS - Wash your hands with warm water the rub briskly with a coarse washcloth to exfoliate. While skin is damp apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon organic olive oil. Cover hands with plastic bag or gloves and leave on for 30 minutes and you'll have wonderfully soft hands!
