Yes, epsom salt uses are many and varied! You can use epsom salt in the garden, your home and your body. So what is epsom salt? Epsom salt is magnesuim sulfate. This minerals most common uses include sizing and fireproofing cotton and silk, in tanning leather, and in the manufacture of fertilizers, explosives, and matches. In medicine, it is used as a laxative. It is also used in veterinary medicine for treatment of local inflammations and infected wounds.
Epsom salts has many other benefits too!
EPSOM SALT USES FOR REMEDIES
EPSOM SALT FOR FEET - Do an epsom salt soak for your tired dogs! Used frequently it will help with foot and toenail fungus also. Add 1/2 cup to a tub big enough to cover your feet and soak away.
EPSOM SALT BATH - Ease sore muscles and detox at the same time. Add 2 cups epsom salts to your bathwater and soak for 20 minutes. For a more luxurious bath add 5-7 drops
lavender essential oil to the salt or the full tub. Relax and enjoy! An epsom salt bath will help body acne and eczema also.
EPSOM SALT FOR HAIR - For an oily hair remedy, mix some epsom salt with your shampoo (about 50/50) and work into damp scalp. Leave for a couple minutes then rinse with cold water.
For THIN HAIR combine 50/50 with conditioner and work into hair. Leave on for 20 minutes then rinse with warm water.
EXFOLIATE - Mix with your choice of natural plant oils and rub over damp skin to exfoliate.
EPSOM SALT FOR CONSTIPATION - Take 2-4 teaspoons dissolved in water up to twice a day. For children ages 6-12 take 1-2 teaspoons.
SPLINTERS - Use epsom salt to draw splinters! Do a soak or dip a rag in salt solution and use as a poultice.
Epsom salt ACNE uses - Bacteria cannot live in salt water so for body acne use 1 or 2 cups epsom salts in the tub. Soak every day if possible. For facial acne add 1 tablespoon epsom salt to two cups of warm water and dab on clean face daily. You should see improvement in one to two weeks.

EPSOM SALT FOR PLANTS - Whether indoor or outdoor plants add 1 teaspoon epsom salt in 2 quarts of water. Use salt monthly.
TOMATO PLANTS - Tomatoes love magnesium!
Add 1 tablespoon to soil around the base of plant and work into soil. Apply monthly for healthy, happy, productive plants!
EPSOM SALT FOR ROSES - Add 1 teaspoon per foot of plant height and work into soil.
LAWNS - Add 2 pounds of epsom salts for every 2500 feet of lawn. Use spreader.
SLUGS - Sprinkle on ground where slugs are a problem.
NATURAL RACOON REPELLENT - Sprinkle on ground where racoons are a problem. The garden and your garbage cans are good ideas. You will have to reapply after it rains.
OTHER EPSOM SALT USES
EPSOM SALT FOR YOUR CAR BATTERY - Dissolve 1 ounce salt in warm water and add to each battery cell to prolong the life of your battery.
