Drawing Out Infection

MY GRANDMOTHER'S ALUM POLTICE WORKED WONDERS FOR AN INFECTED FINGER, OR ANY SKIN INFECTION. HER RECIPE WAS:

HEAT 1/4 CUP OF MILK, AND ADD ABOUT 1 TEASPOON OF POWDERED ALUM AND STIR. THE ALUM WIL MAKE THE MILK FORM A SOFT CURD. BIND THE MOIST CURD ON THE SORE SPOT AND LEAVE OVERNIGHT OR UNTIL THE INFECTION HAS COME TO A HEAD.

milk and vinegar

My mother did the same as the milk and alum poultice but used vinegar to curdle the milk (heated to a warmth you could still hold a finger in, inside glass. NO metal). She is dutch. I love to use organic milk and organic apple cider vinegar with "mother" but it works with plain ingredients as well. I was bitten quite severly by a wild farm cat and despite using iodine, it did puff up. The poultice kept the swelling down as long as i had it on. Later i just opened it up a bit and squeezed the remaining puss out. As other readers stated i did not like the idea of using antibiotics unless it was absolutely necessary. I have had arthritic reactions to antibiotics and i am only 32. These painful stiff hands and feet reactions subsided after numerous trips to the chiropractor and later a cleanse.
Olive Oil and Plantain Weed

I've made an oil with Plantain Weed and Olive Oil, that absolutely works for everything! Plantain is a drawing weed. It will draw anything from the body that shouldn't be there. Mosquito bites, bee stings, cuts, cat scratches, poison ivy/oak, swelling, redness, itching, pain, infection, gout, and EVEN MRSA!
These are just a few of the things I've used it for or made it for somebody who used it for these things!
Alum stops nose bleeds

my son use to awake having nose bleeds. a bit of alum and water put on z cotton ball up the nose stopped it quickly.
my father go huge nose bleeds when he was older and when he'd be out in public. so I put some Alum in a small pill container for him to carry and use with water to stop the bleeding. otherwise his shirt and clothing was a mess in public.
men use to have an alum steptic stick in their shave kit.
