I tried eating the bright yellow turnip blossoms right off the plant (just for fun) I knew they weren't harmful, but I had no idea they would taste so delicious!
That's cool, April! I've never tried the turnips flowers but the young turnip greens can be delicious too. Also beet greens, radish greens and carrot greens. If you snip some of the young greens and leave some on each plant the root vegetables will still produce. You can use them just like any other green, in salads, sautéed, in soups, etc. I may have to grow some turnips this year! :-)
