Cayenne for herpes or shingles breakout

I have periodic breakouts on my butt and I can feel increasing pain knowing in a few hours I'll be miserable. I make a little cayenne pepper poultice and put it on the breakout and it suppresses it very quickly. I'm glad I know about this.
